Votiva NYC at Millennial Aesthetics
At Millennial, we offer complementary technologies to address your specific health and wellness needs.Votiva with the FormaV handpiece, gently and uniformly heats the treated tissue, reducing pain and tightening the pelvic floor muscles. Votiva with the Morpheus8 handpiece is a fractional treatment that remodels tissue. Aviva, powered by AccuTite, delivers internal energy for a minimally-invasive procedure option. No anesthesia needed.
What does it treat?
A few symptoms that Votiva can treat include:
- Vaginal looseness
- Weakness of vaginal muscles
- Urinary leakage
- Vaginal dryness
- Pain from dryness and labial hypertrophy
- Wrinkled appearance and decreased elasticity of the labia and vulvaIncontinence
Votiva is an outpatient procedure. Dr. David Shokrian will first examine the patient and measure the vaginal canal to ensure efficiency and precision. A topical numbing cream will be applied to the area of concern to provide comfort. Ultrasound gel will also be applied onto the FormaV device to also provide comfort. Since this procedure is non-surgical, local or general anesthesia is not used.
The FormaV wand is carefully inserted into the vaginal canal while simultaneously emitting radio frequency energy. The device will pass through the vaginal canal, delivering RF energy to the layers of the skin. The heat from the FormaV device will allow the skin by the areas of concern to tighten while also stimulating the production of collagen and elastic fibers for laxity. This device is then applied to the labia majora and other external tissue areas surrounding it for skin structure. For symmetrical results, the device is also gradually rotated around the treated areas. With FormaV’s precision and accuracy, Dr. David Shokrian can be utilized to be customized for each patient and their desired results. The procedure can last from 35 or more minutes depending on the specifics of the procedure.
Recovery and Results
Following treatment, patients may return to their regular activities. Patients may expect slight discomfort or sensitivity during the next few days after treatment. These side effects are relatively mild and will be resolved fully after a week. We do advise to avoid intercourse for at least a week to achieve the desired results and proper healing.
Most women who receive Votiva immediately notice an improvement in their vaginal area after just one session. Changes and improvements in collagen and elastin levels will gradually increase in the weeks following procedure. To achieve full and long-lasting results, it is recommended to do a series of treatment sessions. However, many patients experience significant results after one treatment. Three sessions of Votiva are typically recommended for optimal results. However, the number of treatment sessions will depend on the patient’s goals for this treatment, this can be discussed during the initial consultation.
