Botox NYC

What is Botox NYC?

Botox NYC uses a solution with botulinum toxin for fixing age and hyperactivity related rhytids, commonly known as wrinkles. This solution effectively improves signs of aging to give patients a more attractive facial appearance. It is an FDA-approved injectable that temporarily ‘freezes’ the movement of facial muscles, resulting in a more youthful appearance and smoother skin. Botox is the most efficient and simplest way to fresh, youthful and natural looking skin without wrinkles.

What can Botox Treat?

Botox can treat a variety of areas of the face such as:

- Forehead Lines

Horizontal lines across the forehead are resulted from frequently raising the brows. With Botox, patients can achieve a smoother forehead by relaxing the muscles of the forehead.

- Crow’s Feet

Crow’s Feet are fine lines at the corners of the eyes that are developed from squinting or smiling. Botox can relax the muscles around the eyes to reduce the appearance of crow’s feet.

- Chin Dimpling

Chin Dimples are indents around the chin that can be caused from overactive muscles around the center of the chin. Botox can temporarily stop the movement of this muscle for a more youthful shaped chin.

- Eyebrow Lift

Over time, brows tend to droop and hood the eyes over time which can give an upset appearance and can even affect a person’s vision. Botox will lift and restore your youthful arch in your brows by relaxing the muscles that pull your eyebrows downward.

- Frown Lines

Frown lines are the vertical lines or furrows between the eyebrows that resulted from scrunching the brows. With botox, these frown lines can be diminished leaving patients with smoother skin.

- Drooping corners of mouth

By relaxing the muscles around the mouth, a more natural and youthful smile can be achieved. Botox can reduce the wrinkles around the corners of the mouth that may cause a sad or upset appearance.

- Under the Eye Wrinkles

- Platysma Neck Bands

From bending the neck and lowering the head, the muscles around the neck stretches and creates vertical bands on the neck. With botox, this treatment can prevent future movement of the platysma bands for a smoother neck

Procedure

The procedure for Botox is minimal, painless, and efficient. Botox involves simply injecting the face with a very fine needle and does not require incisions.

Recovery and Results

There is little to no downtime for this treatment. Many patients are able to return to work and resume their daily activities as soon as they leave the office. There may be slight redness and swelling around the injection sites.

Results will be visible within the next few days following treatment. Long lasting results may vary with every patient and treated area. However, most results typically last up to 3 to 4 months.

Am I a good candidate for Botox?

A good candidate for Botox injections should have no pre-existing medical conditions, preferably a non-smoker, and not allergic to any of the ingredients in botox injections. If patients are allergic to the following ingredients, there are still many options for you! During the initial consultation, Dr. David will speak to you about other alternatives if that is an issue. Patients should refrain from taking any anti-inflammatory drugs (i.e. ibuprofen, aspirin) for a week before and after receiving treatment.
