Buttock Lift Before & After Results

What is a Butt Lift?
Also known as a gluteal lift, a Butt Lift is a cosmetic procedure that improves the shape and contour of the buttocks. It addresses sagging skin or excess fat around the buttocks and tightens the underlying tissues to elevate overall projection, giving buttocks a lifted, more defined outline.
It is important to note that, unlike other butt enhancement surgeries, a Butt Lift does not increase the size of your buttocks. Instead, it focuses on lifting and sculpting a higher, firmer, and more toned version of your current bum.
If gravity has affected the shape and firmness of your buttocks, a Butt Lift may be an effective solution for restoring a firmer, lifted appearance. This procedure also refines your body proportions, creating a smoother, more youthful silhouette, and helping you feel more confident in your appearance.
Dr. David Shokrian and his dedicated team guide you through every step of the process, creating personal treatment plans that ensure you achieve safe, natural-looking results.

My first butt lift was with another doctor and I didn’t have the desired results, but with millennial I had amazing results! Many doctors rejected me for another surgery. however that wasn't the case with this doctor. Very satisfied with the results!
This place was very good. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff was awesome. I loved Jess and my massages from Maribel..she was so good I wanted an 8 ounce bottle of milk and my bed after. Overall Dr. Shokrian was very honest in what he could do and what he couldn't which made my choice even easier.
I had an amazing experience here, my body and breast look absolutely flawless. LIKE PERFECTION!!!! I personally dealt with Sofia the entire time and she is and absolute DREAM! Sooo nice and over accommodating absolutely professional like she’s really my new best friend. They made a very welcoming environment. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for cosmetic work, check them out for sure
Why get a Butt Lift?
Whether you are getting older and want a more rejuvenated look or you have lost weight and are now left with unsightly loose skin, a Butt Lift can make you feel better. The best thing about a Butt Lift is that it tightens your buttocks without adding any volume through fat grafting, silicone implants, or injectable fillers.
With a Butt Lift, you can look forward to:
- Enjoying renewed confidence as a Butt Lift would transform the way you look and move.
- Buying clothes that you loved but avoided, such as bathing suits or yoga pants, due to your sagging butt.
- Wearing clothes that fit well without excess skin hanging from your backside.
A Butt Lift procedure is not limited by gender. If your doctor considers you a good candidate for surgery, you can go for it. Butt Lifts can help you look and feel your best, especially if sagging skin has been affecting your body image.

Not everyone’s vision of a better butt is a bigger butt. A butt lift tightens your buttocks without adding any volume by fat grafting, silicone implants or injectable fillers. Perhaps you’re getting older and simply want a more lifted look, or perhaps you lost weight and are now left with unsightly loose skin.

What to Expect During Your Butt Lift Consultation?
Your buttock lift starts with a detailed consultation with one of our trained surgeons Dr. Shokrian & Dr. Elfar. During this session, they will assess your current health, review your medical history, and general lifestyle, and ask about your reasons and goals for a Butt Lift.

They will also discuss:
- The treatment approaches they find most suitable for you
- Techniques that are used during the procedure
- Anesthesia options
- Recovery schedule and post-surgery instructions
- Pricing information
You can also ask questions or express any concerns you may have regarding the procedure. This session will set realistic expectations and help determine if this is the right approach for you.

How is a Butt Lift Performed?
A Butt Lift procedure commonly follows these steps:
- Before the Butt Lift surgery starts, you will be given anesthesia so you don’t feel any pain during the procedure.
- The surgeon marks incision points and makes the cuts. Depending on how your butt sits, the incisions are made just above the buttocks on the lower back, below the cheeks, or along the hips.
- Next, the surgeon strategically pulls the skin to leave a tighter, but still natural-looking, bottom.
- If they feel the need, your surgeon may include liposuction with your Butt Lift to remove any lumpy pockets of fat around your bum.
- Once your new bum is sculpted, the incisions are secured with sutures and dressed with bandages.
- Your doctor will place surgical drains under your skin to drain any excess fluid or blood from your buttocks as a result of the surgery.
- After the procedure is complete, you will be moved to a recovery room and monitored until you are fully awake and ready to go home.
In most cases, a Butt Lift is an outpatient procedure, which means you go home the same day if your surgeon is satisfied with your condition. They will provide guidelines for caring for your incisions and managing your drains at home. However, in some cases, your surgeon may recommend an overnight stay, especially if the procedure is combined with other surgeries or based on the complexity of your case.

Butt Lift Recovery and Results
Recovery time and post-surgery instructions for your Butt Lift will vary depending on the procedure and your body’s healing process. It is normal to experience swelling, bruising, and some discomfort after surgery. To help protect your results, you may need to avoid sitting directly on your buttocks and instead lie on your stomach or side for several weeks.
You should plan to take time off work for 2 to 4 weeks to allow your incisions to heal and give your body time to recover. Most patients can resume light activities during this period. A full return to normal activities usually begins around 4 to 6 weeks after surgery, depending on your healing and as advised by your surgeon.
Wearing a compression garment is essential for an effective, seamless recovery. You will be discharged wearing it on the day of the Butt Lift. It applies consistent, gentle pressure to the treated area, which helps the newly contoured tissues settle properly. It also keeps the swelling down and supports a firmer, more defined shape as your body recovers.
It will take several weeks, and in some cases months, before the final results are visible as your body heals and swelling subsides. With proper care and a healthy lifestyle, you can enjoy long-lasting, beautifully contoured results from your Butt Lift.
How Can I Further Improve the Look of My Butt?
A Butt Lift is one of the several surgical options to boost the look of your butt through cosmetic surgery.
Other procedures that can complement a Butt Lift include:
- Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) – It uses fat from other areas of the body to elevate the butt shape and add volume to it.
- Buttock Implants – This procedure uses artificial implants made of Silicone to provide additional fullness and projection to your butt.
- Liposuction – It removes excess fat from surrounding areas, like the waist or thighs, to improve your overall body contour.
- Non-surgical Butt Lift – Dermal fillers, or thread lifts, are an easy and available alternative to surgical butt enhancement and plump your backside effectively.
- Butt reduction – This surgery reshapes the buttocks by reducing their volume and removing excess bulk.
With a range of techniques and procedures, you can look forward to the most natural, beautiful contours. Dr. Shokrian helps you choose the approach that best aligns with your goals and desired outcome.

212-421-7123What’s the Difference Between BBL and a Butt Lift?
Despite the similarity in name, a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is different from a Butt Lift surgery. A Butt Lift primarily focuses on raising and smoothing sagging, wrinkled skin, while a BBL enhances and adds volume to your butt.
In BBL, a plastic surgeon first removes excess fat from one part of your body, such as your stomach or thighs, through liposuction, and then injects that fat into your butt to create more volume, lift, and a rounded shape.
A traditional Butt Lift works well when excess skin needs to be removed, especially after pregnancy or significant weight loss. It is ideal for people with skin laxity who do not require additional volume but seek a firmer and more toned buttock appearance.
Is a Butt Lift the Same as Barbie Butt Surgery?
No. Butt Lift surgery is a cosmetic body contouring surgery that augments, shapes, or lifts the buttocks by tightening the sagging skin and removing excess fat. On the other hand, a Barbie Butt surgery is a medical procedure that removes the rectum and anus, often for treating inflammatory bowel disease.
Despite its name, Barbie butt surgery is not a cosmetic procedure. For some people with serious medical conditions, it is a life-saving operation.
Some medical reasons that lead to a Barbie butt surgery include:
- Crohn’s diseases
- Ulcerative colitis
- Rectal cancer
Its official name is proctocolectomy, which is the surgical removal of the rectum, where the anus is sewn up. If you don’t have any of the above conditions and just seek a cosmetic surgical fix to a sagging butt, a Butt Lift will do that for you.

How Much Does a Butt Lift Cost?
The cost of a Butt Lift can vary, depending on different factors.
Some of them include:
- The degree of change you want
- The procedure you choose
- The size of the area being treated
- The surgeon’s expertise and location
- Your skin type
- The amount of fat being removed
- The type of equipment used
- The type of anesthesia required
- Your medical history
- Post-operative care
It is important to note that a Butt Lift is an elective cosmetic procedure. This means it will not be covered by your insurance. However, there are exceptions if your health professional determines it is a medical necessity. In such cases, your insurance provider may pay partially or fully for the procedure, depending on your specific policy and the medical documentation provided.
At Millennial Plastic Surgery, we understand that paying a large amount for a Butt Lift, especially if you choose to combine it with another procedure may be challenging. We offer flexible payment plans and third-party financing options to make your butt enhancement journey stress-free and more accessible.
