What Happens During the Back Fat Liposuction Procedure?
- You will be given either general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation, depending on the size of the area, extent of sculpting, or complexity of the procedure, to ensure you remain comfortable and pain-free throughout the procedure.
- The surgeon will mark the specific areas of your back to guide precise fat removal and make tiny, discreet incisions for the liposuction device.
- A thin tube, called a cannula, is inserted through the incisions to gently break up and suction out unwanted fat deposits for a smoother and more defined structure.
- The incisions are either closed with sutures or left very small to heal naturally, depending on the technique used.
- Bandages and compression garments are applied to support healing, reduce swelling, and help your skin conform to its new shape.

Recovering from a Back Fat Lipo Surgery
Expect mild to moderate pain, swelling, and bruising in the first days, which improve over the following weeks. Your surgeon will guide you on:
- Wearing your compression garment as directed
- Resting at first and returning to light daily activity as you feel able
- Avoiding strenuous movements, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting, for several weeks
- Returning to work in about three to four weeks, depending on your job
Some improvement is visible soon after surgery, but final results appear gradually as swelling subsides. Contact your surgeon if you have severe pain, fever, or signs of infection.

The cost depends on the number and size of the areas treated, the amount of fat removed, anesthesia and facility fees, and whether it is combined with other procedures such as skin tightening.
